CAMPER trailers are still popular, according to Australia's biggest builder of recreational vehicles.

"Small to tow and big to live in, they have been a favourite with Australian families for almost 40 years," a spokesperson for Jayco said.

The Victorian company's high quality touring and outback Camper Trailers were ideal for the road-tripping family looking for economy with class, he added.

There are seven models in Jayco's 2014 range ... the Swift, Penguin, Eagle, Dove, Swan, Flamingo and Hawk.

Setting up is simple and easy, making them the perfect touring or outback RV.

Depending on the model, they can sleep up to eight people and have living quarters with lots of storage and space for dining and relaxing.

Exteriors are constructed using the latest hail and dent-resistant fibreglass, and the heavy duty, weather-resistant Australian-made canvas is colour matched and double stitched for durability.

Each model is coupled to electric brakes and fold out sections are protected by Flexcoat pebble guards

Standard inclusions lead in with a four-burner gas grill and innerspring mattresses ‒ most having Queen-size beds ‒ 3-way fridge, fire extinguisher, rolling storage drawers and 12v LED lighting.

Options include an external shower, slideout barbeque, bike racks and solar power system.

All outback Camper Trailers now have Jayco's innovative JTECH Suspension designed to deliver greater stability, smoother and safer driving.

Nitrogen-filled tyres also provide improved handling and safety with significant savings on fuel and reduction in tyre wear.

Advantages of Jayco ownership include nationwide support from Australia’s largest dealer and service network, comprising more than 100 locations around the country.

There is also 24-hour roadside assist for three years and a comprehensive 12-month warranty.
