PLANS by heart-attack victim Alison Paris to sell her caravan park home in Queensland and move into a retirement home have been dashed.

Now the 72-year-old grandmother has accused the owners of Bargara Beach Caravan Park near Bundaberg of being "unjust and inconsiderate".

Mrs Paris and other owners of permanent caravans have been banned from on-selling their homes.

Shocked residents are furious after receiving letters informing them they must remove their homes when tenancies run out.

"I planned to sell my home and this would have given me capital to enjoy myself in the retirement village," a heartbroken Mrs Paris, who has lived at the park for six years, told Caravanning News.

"It is impossible for me to take my home off this site. It would be much preferred that I could sell my home.

"I am over 70 years old and recently had a second heart attack. My pension would not be adequate to sustain my living conditions. I do not know where to turn to for some assistance."

Mrs Paris said she had always understood it would be possible to sell her home in the park.

"Only three months ago a new permanent resident purchased a site here, which meant sales were allowed."

Some residents say they have invested thousands of dollars in improving their homes, many of which were not able to be removed because of added permanent structures.

There was no one available at the park for comment.
