Organisers confident of big crowds

Yarrawonga set to host inaugural caravan show

Have your say

THE inaugural Yarrawonga caravan and camping show promises to be a permanent event on the Victorian town's tourism calendar, according to the organisers.

"We'll be rolling into the showgrounds across the Labour Day weekend (March 6-8)," BossMan event director Scott Reinemann said.

"This show is aimed fairly and squarely at the burgeoning Yarrawonga Mulwala tourism trade and we are confident of support from the locals, exhibitors and visitors alike.

"We're working closely with Noel Wright, executive officer at the Yarrawonga Mulwala Visitor Information, so we are extremely confident of drawing big crowds."

The Yarrawonga Caravan Camping & Outdoor Living Show will showcase the latest in caravans, campers and camping paraphernalia.

There will also be many exhibitors representing leisure pursuits such as fishing, boating, canoeing and tourism destinations.

"You could say we are your one-stop outdoor entertainment shop," Mr Reinemann said.

"Our shows are branded family friendly and kids are admitted at no charge. They get to enjoy free rides, balloons and entertainment.

"It really is a fabulous family day out."

Another major show highlight will be the 15m x 3m Yamaha Super Tank.

The largest mobile fish tank in the southern hemisphere, it provides a fish-eye view of life under water.

The perspex tank is filled with barramundi so novices through to experienced anglers can learn how to increase their strike rates.

Casting demonstrations, the latest lures, boat safety, knife sharpening and fishing destinations are all part of the Super Tank rolling shows.

"Our exhibitors have trust in our brand and continue to support us," Mr Reinemann said.

"Our lifestyle events are now firm dates on the calendars of many companies and we are delighted with all the positive feedback."

Admission to the show will be $15 for adults, concession $12 and free for the under 17s. Parking will be complimentary. Tickets at the gate.
