'Pre-summer' sales of caravanning, camping, touring and holiday products will feature at the Penrith and South Coast Caravan, Camping and Holiday expos in the coming months.

The Penrith event will be held at Penrith Panthers from 12-14 September while the South Coast expo will be staged at McKay Park in Batemans Bay from 7-9 November.

Both expos will feature exhibitors displaying the latest models of caravans, motorhomes, camper trailers, campervans, fifth wheelers, camping equipment and tents.

There will also be 4WD products and accessories, holiday destinations and tourist parks and more for the avid traveller to browse and buy.

"Travellers can make an informed purchase decision at the expos because there is such a variety of recreational vehicles, outdoor and leisure accessories and a range of holiday and tourist parks on show," Caravan and Camping Industry Association of NSW chief executive officer Barry Baillie said.

The caravan and camping lifestyle is enjoyed by around 87 percent of Australians and caters for a variety of comforts and budgets.

"A caravan and camping holiday provides a variety of choice in accommodation. Whether you enjoy staying in a cabin, driving a motorhome or pitching a tent, our industry caters for everyone," Mr Baillie said.

The Penrith and South Coast expos will provide free parking for all visitors.

Now in its 11th year, the Penrith event continues to draw crowds of some 25,000 people.

Celebrating its seventh year, the South Coast event drives tourism to the South Coast suburb of Batemans Bay and surrounds, with an influx of around 15,000 visitors expected again this year.

For more information, phone the Expo hotline on 1902 220 299 (call costs apply) or click here for more information.

The South Coast Expo will be open 9am-5pm daily. Admission costs are $8 for adults; $5 pensioners and Senior Card holders; and children free.  Click here for more information.
