New washing machine on the cards Crystal Brook park collects $4000 handout from fund A SOUTH Australian caravan park has cleaned up in a community grants fund. The 40-site Crystal Brook Caravan Park, 200km north of Adelaide, will now be able to buy a top brand washing machine to do a daily linen wash. It was among 16 local groups who received welcome cash handouts from the Clements Gap Sustainable Communities Fund, launched by Pacific Hydro to benefit activities near its Clements Gap wind farm. The fund covers environmental, sporting, cultural and educational projects and is available for the life of the wind farm’s operation. The Crystal Brook Community Association successfully applied for $4000 for a new washing machine at the Crystal Brook Caravan Park to replace the current, outdated model. The new energy and water efficient machine is expected to bring big savings.
