'Lucky not to have been more seriously injured' Trio hurt as rig rolls on Queensland highway THREE elderly caravanners were hurt when their rig rolled on a Queensland highway. One was trapped in the wreckage of their Toyota 4WD which flipped on the Bruce Highway near Ilbilbie, south of Sarina. The travellers were treated at the scene for minor injuries. Witnesses said they were lucky not to have been more seriously hurt. Their 7m caravan was wrecked, scattering debris and the travellers' personal belongings across the highway. There were lengthy traffic delays as wreckage was cleared. A Sarina Fire and Rescue spokesperson said the accident happened as the trio headed south. Fire crews used straps and airbags to remove the badly damaged caravan from the highway. BACK TO CARAVANNING NEWS MAIN PAGE
