Southern Hemisphere's biggest show on horizon

Prepare for those on-road memories

Have your say

LIFE may be short, but with the biggest caravan and camping show in the Southern Hemisphere on the horizon, caravanners can be ready to go make some memories on the road.

Travelling as a family is the best education children can have, and one of the most affordable ways to see this beautiful country is holidaying in an RV.

With the right gear, the memories made out there will be the ones that people and their families will treasure for years.

And to help them on their way, a massive range of caravans, motorhomes, camper trailers, tents, camping gear and every accessory under the sun will be on display at the Victorian Caravan, Camping & Touring Supershow from March 8 to 13, just in time for the touring season.

Featuring a brand new 'Innovation and Technology' area on Level 2 of the grandstand where visitors can see the latest gadgets, gear and ideas under one roof, this promises to be the most exciting show yet.

Television personality Coxy and other celebrities will be there at Caulfield Racecourse in March to entertain adults, and kids will have their own entertainment area with rides and activities to keep them happy on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Over six days, experts will be conducting seminars on everything people need to know to hit the road prepared.

The grandstand will be packed to the rafters with tourism displays offering mountains of free advice, and there will be a full range of 2012 tourism and caravan park guides.

This year, an awesome Jayco Expanda caravan worth over $37,000 will be up for grabs in the annual Passport to Freedom competition.

Part caravan and part camper trailer, the Expanda combines the best of both worlds in one family-friendly pop-top caravan, along with some other great prizes.

Open Thursday through Tuesday from 9.30am, there will be free parking before 11am. Wheelchair access and disabled parking will be available.

Admission is $17, while children under 15 are free. Pensioners and Seniors Card holders will be pay $13.
