TWO brothers, who built their first caravan in a lowly backyard shed, and their family will celebrate 30 successful years in the industry next month.

Frank and Karl Prosenik's humble beginnings grew into what is now Supreme Caravans, one of the most trusted brands within the Australian caravan industry.

The Victorian-based company's success story will be celebrated at a special gala event at its state-of-the-art dealership in Hume, Victoria, on September 2.

The brothers launched their business by selling used RVs and then assembling caravans in an average Aussie backyard shed on Sydney Road, Fawkner.

Thirty years later they and their close-knit family have made their mark on the Australian leisure industry, employing over 170 staff in the Hume area and subsequently employing many more Australia-wide.

'We have grown with our suppliers, dealers and employees'

Managing director Karl said things had not always been easy.

"In fact it is getting harder and harder in Australia, but Supreme Caravans is getting stronger and stronger," he explained.

And his managing director brother added: "We have grown with our suppliers, dealers and employees over the years and are blessed with the wonderful relationships."

The dealership will be transformed into a unique function venue for one night only with in-house staff, industry figures, sporting personalities and politicians from all over the country coming together for the festivities.

A first limited 30th anniversary caravan will be released, with only 30 of the special RVs being built.

This new release features the latest in innovation and style on the market today.

The release coincides with the start of a massive four-day caravan sale.

"We are extremely excited to announce the release of our 30th anniversary model," Frank said.

"Karl will head the production at our modern manufacturing facility in Campbellfield which produces tough off-road units to spacious luxury models," he added.

The gala evening will feature a dinner, live band and award presentations.

The four-day sale will focus on the release of the 30th anniversary edition caravan as well as huge savings on stock and second hand units.

There will also be BBQs and giveaways together with radio, tv and sporting personalities..
