Successful partnership earns gold for NSW park

STOCKTON Beach Holiday Park in New South Wales has won gold in the Hunter and Central Coast Awards for Excellence in Tourism.

The 3.5-star park is owned by the City of Newcastle and managed under contract by Australian Tourist Park Management (ATPM).

Council manager of commercial enterprise services Daniel Ballantyne said the win came as a complete surprise, but entirely deserved.

"The park managers and their team make a great contribution to local tourism by recommending the local attractions and events to their guests," he said.

"The park is not only a destination enjoyed by visitors but has become a popular spot for locals who are attracted to the idea of a holiday close to home."

ATPM managing director Steve Billett said his company felt fortunate to manage the popular park on Newcastle's iconic Stockton Beach.

"The strong partnership between ATPM and The City of Newcastle has created significant growth in the appeal and profile of the park," he said.

"Together, we have developed new business and marketing plans, which included re-branding and capital works such as new luxury cabins.

"We look forward to our continued successful relationship."
