Jayco Expanda on the road

Flexibility, reliability and expandability

Expandas still the top choice

Families take advantage of innovation

  Have your say

Fun with Jayco's ExpandasJAYCO'S Expanda poptop and caravan range is still proving the top choice for families looking to hit the road.

More than 1500 sales were recorded last year and the improved series continues to offer travellers flexibility, reliability and expandability.

Marketing director Andrew Ryan said Expandas were the RVs of choice for those seeking out a hybrid of Jayco's innovation.

"Everyone loves camper trailers because they're compact, great value and easy to tow, but families also enjoy how the Expanda provides welcome extra storage space," he explained.

"Caravan getaways are great value – a spontaneous and fun holiday choice, perfect for keeping the kids happy with an ever-changing landscape and places to explore."

He said the 2011 Expanda caravan range was again the ideal RV for growing families.

"The 17ft layout launched last year, which includes a shower, parents' large front bed and a triple-fold bunk, has been well received," he said.

"We're finding that larger families are upgrading to the more luxurious layouts.

"With the three additional layouts launched this year, the Expanda provides more freedom than ever before, giving families the option to choose the best home on wheels to suit their needs."

Interior updates give the Expanda a fresh uplift and include timber furniture styling, tile and bamboo finish floor vinyls, an option of two new laminex benchtop finishes and European door handles which are smarter in design and easier to use.

Exterior features across the Expanda range include updated alloy rim wheels, and the Outback model introduces new coloured graphics for a unique look and feel.

Jayco's tough frame, with vacuum bonded fibreglass, is 150 percent thicker than aluminium cladding, making it virtually hail and dent resistant.

All Jayco chassis are hot dipped galvanised to increase strength and protection for longer life.

In 2011, travellers opting for the Touring model will have the added protection of Jayco's 24-hour, 365 days a year Roadside Assist Program which is now provided free for three years.
