Meeting a big demand
Roadhouse
opens new caravan park
A WEST Australian roadhouse has thrown
down the welcome mat for grey nomads and other travellers ... by opening a
new caravan park.
"We had a very big demand so a new caravan park and more ablution blocks
were definitely on our renovation list," Roebuck Plains Roadhouse manager
Shannon Mentiplay told Caravanning News.
The Great Northern Highway roadhouse near Broome in the State's north-west
had previously provided a handful of sites behind its premises, but the
new facilities on the eastern side offers 35 purpose-built sites.

The new beer garden awaits
travellers |
"The old sites at the rear were a little
rundown but the new development is completely separate and has a nice new
amenities block and bays with power and water," one traveller told
Caravanning News.
Shannon said six of the new sites could handle caravans and motorhomes up
to 40ft in length.
The pet-friendly park has a tavern and new beer garden. It is
also planned to build an in-ground pool.
"We have put in new plants and trees etc so next season the park will be
beautiful," Shannon said.
"We have had so many compliments on the park already, mainly about the new
ablution block and how tidy the park is kept, also our friendly staff."
