Woman rushed to hospital

Pets perish as blaze rips through owner's caravan

TWO dogs died when fire ripped through a caravan on the New South Wales Central Coast.

Their 53-year-old owner was rushed to hospital after the 2.45am blaze at the Walu Caravan Park, 110km north of Sydney.

She was treated at Wyong Hospital for shock and the effects of smoke inhalation.

Firemen struggled to prevent flames reaching other caravans at the "pet friendly" park. They later found the remains of her pets in the charred wreckage of the caravan.
