Something for everyone ... even the kids! Bumper show predicted as economic boom hits WA ORGANISERS of this year's Perth Caravan and Camping Show expect a record-breaking event.
To be held at Claremont Showgrounds from March 13 to 17, they predict it will be even bigger and better than last year's record display. Undercover pavilions and the arena, which will be dedicated to caravans, will be filled to capacity. A spokesperson said the economic boom in WA was attracting more exhibitors from the eastern states. "Response from both exhibitors and the public has already been fantastic and everything is pointing to the biggest and most exciting show in its 30-year plus history," she told Caravanning News. Visitors would see some new brands amongst the huge exhibition of caravans, poptops, motorhomes, campers, camper trailers and camping gear, 4WD accessories, communications, tourism destinations and holiday parks. There will be towing clinics, Hayman Reese hitch demonstrations, a fishing display and seminars on topics such as travelling safely and preparing for the road. "There's plenty to entertain the kids on the weekend, including the Kids Food Stage, and for all ages well-known country singer Tania Kernaghan will perform daily on stage," the spokesperson said. Refreshments will be available from five different indoor and outdoor cafes. Three entry gates, one at the Claremont Showgrounds train station entrance, will provide convenient access for visitors. There will be easy bus access and parking on site and in Claremont. The show opens from 9.30am to 5.30pm Thursday to Sunday and from 9.30am to 3pm on Monday. Entrance will be $14 for adults, $10 for aged pensioners and seniors, and $5 for children aged between 5 and 15. A family pass for two adults and up to four children will cost $28.
