Keeping finger on pulse the key
for award-winning holiday park
THE four-and-a-half star Deniliquin Paringa
Holiday Park in NSW, a member of the BIG4 chain, has added another award
to its cabinet.
The riverside holiday destination in the Riverine region carried off the
title of best tourist and caravan park in NSW's 2010 CountryLink Inland
Tourism Awards.
Owners Frank and Lynda White said they were thrilled to be recognised for
the hard work involved in running a holiday park.
"It’s a great inspiration for us to continue moving forward in all areas
of our business," Frank said.
"The best part of entering these awards is that it allows us to take a
look back at how far we have come, areas that still need improvement ...
and it's a reminder for us to stay focused on where we are heading in the
future."
Their park beat off stiff opposition from 51 other entrants to scoop the
accolade.
Frank put the win down to keeping a finger on the pulse, staying one step
ahead of industry trends and endeavouring to be the best accommodation
provider in the region.
"We are in the process of doing numerous developments including 40 new
sites, 10 new cabins and a brand new 10KW solar panel system to save on
energy," he explained.
"It will even have an interactive display where kids can come and see how
the system works."
BIG4 Holiday Parks acting chief executive officer James Shearer said his
organisation was proud to have Deniliquin Paringa Holiday Park on board
demonstrating leadership and direction.
"It is great that their hard work and innovation is being recognised
within the whole industry," he said. "The park is unique and a beautiful
place for guests to visit."
The park was last year named best park in the prestigious Camping
and Caravan Industry Association of NSW awards.
Located on the banks of the Edward River, it boasts a solar-heated
pool, basket ball court, BBQs, water sports and skiing facilities and a
new conference/function centre.
Guests have a range of accommodation in cabins or on caravan sites, making
it ideal for all demographics including families, skiers, fisherman and
all travellers.
