Jayco Basestation: oven wiring could pose fire risk

Up to 50 RVs could be affected

Recall over oven wiring fire risk

Have your say

WIRING to some ovens in Jayco Basestation and Expanda caravans could pose a fire risk, it has been revealed.

Australia's biggest manufacturer of RVs has now recalled
more than 50 of their vehicles after it was discovered wiring secured to the rear of ovens may become excessively hot.

"If the insulation melts and exposes the wires it may cause a fire or electric shock," Jayco said.

Chassis numbers between S70588-S71803 could be affected.

Owners have been urged to take their RVs to a Jayco dealer or service agent for an inspection and remedial work if required.
