Tolls rise as part of CPI catch up Travellers face higher fees for using Gateway Bridge CARAVANNERS will have to dig deeper into their pockets when using Brisbane's Gateway Bridge. Tolls for crossing the six-lane, 250m long bridge - which forms part of the Gateway Arterial Road bypassing the Queensland capital - rose on July 1. It now costs $2.90 for a car or car plus caravan, a rise of 30c. New toll costs for the Gateway Extension and Logan Motorway rose by 10c to $1.90 at Kuraby, $1.20 at Loganlea and $2 at Stapylton Road and Paradise Road interchange. The new fees are part of a series of staged Consumer Price Index catch-ups and annual CPI increases. Hundreds of caravanners use the 64.5m high Gateway Bridge, which spans the Brisbane River and links the popular Sunshine and Gold coasts, daily. BACK TO CARAVANNING NEWS MAIN PAGE
