DOMETIC has joined forces with Australia's peak caravanning body and Winnebago
to promote a year-long road trip.
And adventurers are being invited to take part.
Caravan Industry Association of Australia chief executive Stuart Lamont
said the Dometic Follow the Sun Relay would showcase to the world
how great it is to explore Australia on a caravan and camping adventure.
"Participants will be asked to share stories, videos, photos and fun
moments from their trip," he expllained.
"They will travel all around the country and visit both iconic landmarks
and lesser known areas and really show people some of the amazing things
they can experience on a caravan and camping holiday."
A Winnebago motorhome officially began the journey from the recent
Queensland Caravan Camping and Touring Supershow in Brisbane and will
return to the same venue in a year.
Friends, families, mums and dads, retirees, singles and anyone else who
cares to share the adventure are being encouraged
to take part.
The Caravan Industry Association of Australia and ambassadors will
distribute their stories.
Vehicle sponsor Winnebago Australia has supplied a
six-berth motorhome to help participants make the most of the
experience.
“Winnebago Australia is excited to be the
promotional travel partner, taking people around our great country in
style," Winnebago Australia chief executive Luke
Trouchet said.
"Travellers are encouraged to apply to experience the luxury and comfort
of motorhoming.
"Whether it's a trip from Darwin to Alice with your mates, or a family
excursion up the east coast, this partnership will allow us to show
Aussies’ unforgettable road trip experiences."
