Two die as overtaking vehicle collides with caravan

TWO people died in a horror smash involving a caravan in Western Australia.

The accident happened when the caravan was being overtaken on Shark Bay Road as it headed towards Denham.

A police spokesperson told Caravanning News there was a collision which caused the caravan to veer into bushland and jackknife.

The other vehicle rolled several times, killing the 52-year-old female driver instantly. Her 62-year-old passenger died soon afterwards.

"The elderly occupants of the vehicle towing the caravan were in shock, but unharmed," the police spokesperson added.
