Sponsorship request successful

Dealer donates life-saving defibrillator to ACC branch

Have your say

A CARAVAN dealership in Western Australia has donated a life-saving piece of equipment to a branch of the nationwide caravan club.

When Bob Elkington and Jennie Morison were finalising the purchase of a new caravan they asked Luxury RVs general manager Luke Bell if he would sponsor their caravan group, the Wait Awhile Nomads.

And, much to their delight, he was more than happy to oblige ... in the form a defibrillator.

When Bob and Jennie collected their new Galaxy caravan, Mr Bell handed over the vital piece of medical equipment to the club's branch secretary, David Braidwood.

"Branch members sincerely thank Luxury RV Rockingham for this extremely generous sponsorship," Mr Braidwood said.

"With a branch membership of 62 this defibrillator has the potential to save lives."

Recently relocated to Rockingham, the team at Luxury RVs has over 40 years’ experience in the caravan industry and endeavours to provide the ultimate customer satisfaction.

The Wait Awhile Nomads a branch of the 4600-member Australian Caravan Club realises the importance of having a defibrillator available during branch musters and tag-a-longs, especially when travelling in remote areas.

Members had been raising money towards the purchase of a defibrillator.

They have now decided to donate some of the funds raised so far to St Johns who in turn have offered to provide qualified trainers at a future muster in the use of the equipment.
