Compass a new direction for
Roadstar boss
By Dennis Amor

ROADSTAR boss Ken Nizam has resurrected the
old Compass brand name to launch two new entry-level caravans into the
market.
The cheaper Compact and Navigator ranges complement Mr Nizan's current
range of luxury Roadstar caravans built at his factory in Victoria.
"Both models are contemporary modern designs that are in no comparison to
the Roadstar brand," Mr Nizan told Caravanning News.
He claimed they were "much superior" than any other caravans in their price
bracket.
The introductory price for the single-axle Compact range starts at $54,900,
while the twin-axle Navigator has a price tag in the low $60,000s.
Interior layouts are similar in both ranges, including a north-south queen
bed at the front, kitchen and lounge/dinette in the centre and ensuite at
the rear.
The Compact has CRS twin coil suspension, full width tunnel boot,
double-glazing and modern CNC finish cabinetry, including Roastar's
exclusive Novatio sealant and other features.
Appliances in both ranges include a stainless steel range hood, two-door
3-way fridge, air conditioner, sound system and 22in LED TV with DVD
player
The Navigator is also fitted with CRS coil twin shock suspension and same
build as the compact.
There is the option of beam and rocker roller suspension to reduce the
price if requested.
The Navigator's interior offers brushed stainless steel power points and
switch covers, a 6ft 4in mattress with a posture adjustable slatted
bedframe on gas struts, Flicker mixer taps and water tank level indicator.
* Mr Nizam bought
the original Roadstar Industries' plant and equipment when the 21-year-old
company closed in 2009. The Australian Hitec Engineering director also won
the right to use the iconic Roadstar and Compass trademarks, which now
appear on his range of quality caravans.
