LOCATION, location, location .... but there is a trade off! Beachside Clairview enjoys glorious views of the Pacific Ocean but unfortunately also adjoins the main east coast railway and Bruce Highway with all their attendant noise. But for a free overnight stop you would be hard pressed to better this rest area, about 88km south of Sarina. Situated just north of Clairview off the main highway, it has covered tables and benches, electric and wood-fired BBQs, toilets, bins, children's play area and tap (water unfit for drinking). TV reception (Imparja and ABC) and mobile telephone reception good. 24-hour maximum stay.
