More than 200 attend CCIA's
glittering night of awards
PRESTIGIOUS awards were flowing when NSW's caravan industry held its
premier event of the year.
More than 200 guests attended the annual Caravan and Camping Industry
Association of NSW (CCIA) Awards of Excellence gala dinner to recognise
caravan, RV and camping businesses for industry excellence across 23
categories.
The occasion was held at Cypress Lakes Resort in Cessnock on July 29.
CCIA chief executive officer Barry Baillie described it as a prestigious
annual event for the industry, which embraces caravan and holiday parks,
manufactured home villages and estates, caravan and RV manufacturers and
dealers as well as industry suppliers.
"The Awards of Excellence is the industry's highlight event which
recognises business excellence in the caravan and camping sector and is
the highest accolade that a caravan, RV or camping business can
achieve," he said.
Tourism Minister Jodi McKay also presented 16 Gumnut Awards to park and
trade businesses which had demonstrated outstanding commitment to
environmental sustainability.
