THE owners of a Queensland caravan park will mark their first six
months in their role by treating visiting kids during the Easter break.
Throughout the weekend, Gail and James Dillon and son Josh will lay on a
free BBQ and entertainment, an egg hunt, the Easter Bunny, face painting
and games at their Capricorn Palms Holiday Village.
On arrival at the Rockhampton BIG4 park, children will receive a colouring
sheet to enter a colouring competition, winners will receive their prizes
on Sunday.
Gail explained that it is one way for them to encourage visitors to feel a
part of the park’s fun-filled family environment.
"We want our visitors to remember their Easter at BIG4 Capricorn Palms
Holiday Village. We are even bringing games back for the whole family to
enjoy such as the three-legged race, egg and spoon race, tug-of-war and a
bonnet parade with prizes," she said.
The Dillon family has gone the extra mile to encourage locals to enjoy the
quiet park which is just 300m from the beach. They have "absolutely loved"
running the park and have plans to expand and continue offering deals.
Park facilities include a jumping pillow, open-air movies where visitors
can sit on the hill and watch the big screen, a pool, pedal cars, a volley
ball court and importantly, serenity.
BIG4 Holiday Park chief executive officer Terry Goodall said the Dillon
family had created a typical BIG4 park which promoted 'fun'.
"Capricorn Palms Holiday Village is more than just getting into the spirit
of Easter, with families guaranteed to also enjoy the proximity of the
beach and the friendly staff," he said.
