Pouring welcome dollars into businesses
LOCAL traders are benefiting from a special scheme being run by a leading chain of caravan parks. BIG4 Holiday Parks actively encourages tourists to visit hundreds of local businesses each year through their ‘local member benefits program'. The organisation says the initiative provides its160,000 members with added value, while encouraging them to support local businesses during their holidays. There is no cost for local businesses to be involved in the program ... they simply need to provide a special offer, discount or other benefit to BIG4 members presenting a membership card. In return, their business is promoted heavily by BIG4 Holiday Parks, giving them guaranteed promotion and exposure through a number of channels both nationally and locally.
BIG4 Holiday Parks chief executive officer Terry
Goodall explained that local businesses were promoted to 160,000 members and four million annual
guests
"Our website is consistently ranked in the top 50 travel accommodation and destination websites by Hitwise and each participating local business receives a dedicated listing on the site," he said. "BIG4 Holiday Parks is pleased to be able to offer a program that not only benefits our guests by saving them a dollar or two, but which also increases clientele for local businesses and boosts local economies."
