Improved functionality and benefits

BIG4 chain revamps
digital presence

Have your say

LEADING tourist and caravan park chain BIG4 Holiday Parks says it has "revolutionised" its digital presence with a revamped website.

The site now provides improved functionality and benefits offering a consistent and full responsive website experience whether visitors are using a computer, tablet or mobile device.

Executive general manager (strategy) Kari Hunter believes the new functionality will lead to people spending more time exploring the website and an increase in bookings.

"We're responding to the changing needs of our guests by introducing a dynamic site that engages with users throughout their visit," she said.

"We also needed to create a site that strengthens our national brand while meeting the needs of our franchise owners.

"With improved search functions, a streamlined booking system and more imagery, our parks now have a first class website, geared specifically to reach potential customers and secure bookings."

One of the most impressive new features is the search option allowing users to check availability across multiple parks at once.

BIG4 said it is the first park provider in Australia to offer this feature.

It would be extremely useful leading up to peak periods, such as Christmas and school holidays, to check what accommodation was available in a region at the last minute.

In addition, visitors can now also search by town or location and the nearest parks will be displayed in the results.

The redesigned website features one streamlined booking system and provides information quicker with a new global search tool.

Integrating the power of Google, users can now find information on anything including the loyalty club, gift vouchers or practical information and how-to guides.

As well as the new offerings for guests, the site has been designed with best practice Search Engine Optimisation and Conversion Rate Optimisation to drive increased traffic and maximise bookings for franchisees.

It will also allow individual parks to personalise their offering through better imagery and videos.
