VISITORS to this month's Bendigo Caravan & Camping Leisurefest will be offered more variety than ever before, say the organisers.

The Caravan Industry Association of Victoria (CIA Vic) has signed up several new brands for the three-day event beginning November 21 at Bendigo Racecourse, Epsom.

In the course of its 13 years, the leisurefest has more than doubled the number of exhibits.

CIA Vic chief executive officer Rob Lucas said the industry was bringing new products never seen outside the capital city shows.

"Regional debuts include such legendary brands as Franklin and groundbreaking new brands like OPUS Camper, not to mention Coromal's exciting new Appeal companion range," he said.

"This year we have well over 250 new caravans, motorhomes, camper trailers, off-road vehicles, campervans, pop-tops, tent trailers, fifth-wheelers, slide-ons and 4WDs.

"There is information on destinations near and far, plus a huge range of tents, annexes, clothing, towing gear, telecommunications, alternative power and off-road accessories ... even boats.

"We also have free showbags for the kids with activity books, pencils and stickers featuring the new Caravanning Explorers' Club characters – and let's not forget, Bendigo Racecourse is the most beautiful show venue in Australia."

Leisurefest will donate $5000 to a local charity, bringing the total to $65,000 so far.

The event is a great family day out, with free parking and tickets at just $12 for adults, $10 concession and free for kids under 15 when accompanied by an adult.

There will be a special two-day pass at just $18 for adults and $15 concession.

Free kids’ activities and family entertainment will be offered on Saturday and Sunday, plus free seminars to make the most of camping and RV touring.

The show will be open from 9.30am to 5pm on Friday and Saturday and 9.30am to 4pm on Sunday.
