Adria's Altea

'Unique in European market'

Adria's impressive line-up of 2015 'vans

Have your say

IMPORTERS have revealed details of the 2015 line-up of award-winning European-built Adria caravans now available in Australia.

The Apollo Group said the five unique models were on show at selected dealers.

Business development manager Peter Eller said the range was an outstanding selection providing Australians with the most innovative and affordable caravans ever offered by the Slovenian manufacturer.

"Travellers will be amazed by the attention to detail and practical designs of the 2015 Adria range," he said.

"These are completely Australianised versions of Adria's best caravans, and our dealers are very excited about having the full range available at their show-yards.

"Their aerodynamic design, windows and skylights designed to maximise natural light, stunning bathrooms and interior finishes and range of models and layouts suit everyone from grey nomads to young families."

Mr Eller said buyers were particularly impressed by Adria's versatile kitchens, which offered spacious drawers, gas burner cooktops, larger sized fridges and microwaves as standard.

"Adria is unique in the European-built caravan market because they have adapted the product specifically to Australian conditions, and they perform beautifully on our roads," he said.

Adria's Australian range is built on AL-KO chassis which have been customised to suit local road conditions.

They also include as standard the anti-sway coupling which eliminates the need for additional stabiliser bars.

The Adria Altea 402PH holds the spotlight in the 2015 range, building on the success of the 432PX.

"It is a very sturdy yet lightweight four-berth caravan which can be towed by a standard sedan," Mr Eller said.

"This makes it perfect for people looking to upgrade from a camper trailer or pop-top caravan who do not drive a large 4WD or don't want to upgrade their car.

"It is also the perfect 'van for those new to caravanning as its compact and lightweight design makes it easy to manoeuvre and tow.

"The interior has been completely modernised and looks very light, spacious and roomy, with subtle strip LED lighting, a larger fridge and Adria's trademark intelligent design (‘i-design’) approach to layout, which maximises every single centimetre of space."

Retailing at $42,990, the Altea 402PH provides an extremely competitive option in the small caravan and pop-top range – with none of the inconveniences of a pop-top.

"The 402PH is completely ready to roll – and once you reach your destination you just pull up, and within five minutes you're officially 'on holiday'," Mr Eller said.

The 4-berth Adria Altea 552PK offered more space and was priced at $46,990.

"For the price of an average pop-top or expander-style 'van, the Altea 552PK gives you a full model caravan which can be towed by most standard family sedans or light SUVs," Mr Eller said.

A generous family-sized bathroom, kid-friendly lighting in the children's bunks and the ability to screen off the rest of the caravan at night allows for comfortable long term family travel.

The Adria Altea 552UP, priced at $49,990, offers similar proportions and features to the 552PK but a generous club lounge sitting area (converting to a double bed for sleeping) replaces the fixed bunk beds from the 552PK.

Two kings of the range are the Adria Adora 612DP and Adora 612DL, both priced at $63,990 and offering more than six metres of internal space.

Traditional layout in the Adora 612DP offers an island Queen bed and mid-ensuite, with a club lounge giving panoramic views through the large windows and skylight.

Unlike most caravans in this size and price bracket Adria's largest models are outstanding for their towability, with both 612 models weighing less than two tonnes fully loaded and easily managed by a large sedan or light SUV.

Adria has been building caravans for 50 years and first entered the Australian market in 2007.

The Altea and Adora models have already won national awards including Caravan of the Year and commendation at the European Innovation Awards for their innovative designs.

The Apollo Group, the world’s largest privately owned leisure vehicle operator and largest RV rental fleet operator in Australia, is the official importer and distributor of Adria RV products in Australia and New Zealand.

The entire Adria range is available at Melbourne & European RV, Carlons Wollongong, Central Coast Adria; Brisbane MotoSport and soon to be announced dealerships in Perth and Adelaide.

The range will also be on show at the Melbourne Leisurefest from October 2-5 and at the Brisbane Pre-Xmas Caravan & Camping Sale from October 30 to November 2 November.
